French Infantry - painting masterclass

Just to whet your appetite a little more - here are some photos of the figures Richard Hattersley has painted up for the packaging artwork - not bad I suppose?

I think that these look some of the nicest figures so far - well done Chris and Richard.

Now he needs to paint some fighting units - and Prince August need to get them into production!

  2. Indeed.

Hope they will still look good with a shiny toy soldier finish!

    2. Steve, sorry, that wasn't a serious comment/concern. Yours do look very attractive.

What I really meant was that painted figures this good can give me an itch to start trying some serious miniature painting again, which I would rather not.

  6. Splendid miniatures and paint work. Are there any prospects for SYW British moulds, Scottish highlanders and light Infantry in particular?

    1. The plan is to do some British - but not in the immediate future.

The priority is to add some cavalry, artillery, light troops etc. to the Prussian, Austrian & Russian forces to allow complete armies to be built.

Hopefully now most of the problems with the change to digital sculpting are sorted things will move faster?

Pa is now accepting orders for the French Infantry molds. There is also a bundle being offered.

  8. These are great figures and I am currently painting up a number of French regiments. Has anyone else noted though that the drummer figure has his drum upside down. Easily fixed with a quick file and a paint job.
